Terms of service
Last updated 4 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between DruOps Garage Consulting Ltd (company number 16865891, registered in England and Wales), which runs Business Desk ("we", "us"), and the business that signs up ("you"). By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of your business.
1. Who can use Business Desk
Business Desk is for businesses, including sole traders, using it for their trade or profession. It isn't sold to consumers. The person who signs up confirms they are 18 or over and allowed to accept these terms for the business.
2. The service
Business Desk is an online app for keeping a small business's bookings, customers, jobs, payments, quotes, invoices, stock and bills, with optional online booking, reminders and pay links. We may improve or change features over time, and will give reasonable notice before removing anything you rely on.
3. Free trial
New businesses get a 7-day free trial with no card needed. When it ends, you can subscribe to keep using Business Desk. If you don't, your records become read-only so you can still look at and download them, and the business and its records are deleted 30 days after the trial ended. We email the owners when the trial ends and again before anything is deleted.
4. Price and payment
The subscription is £20.00 a month, which includes one login, plus £5.99 a month for each additional login, up to the number of logins shown in the app. It is billed monthly in advance by card through our payment provider, Stripe. When you add or remove a login, the charge is adjusted for the rest of the month. If a payment fails we will retry it; if it still can't be taken, your account becomes read-only until it is paid. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of any price change, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
5. Cancelling and deletion
You can cancel at any time from Settings. Your subscription runs to the end of the month you've paid for and isn't renewed; we don't refund part months. After that your records become read-only, and the business and its records are deleted 30 days later, so download a backup first. An owner can also delete the business at any time, and anyone can delete their own login, from Settings > Account (see deleting your account).
6. Your data
The records you put into Business Desk belong to you, and you can download them at any time. You are responsible for having the right to store your customers' details and for using them lawfully, including any reminders you choose to send. For your customers' personal information you are the controller and we are your processor: our data processing agreement forms part of these terms. How we handle information about you is in our privacy policy.
7. Payments from your customers
Pay links and deposits go straight from your customer to your own payment provider. We never receive, hold or pass on that money and aren't responsible for those payments, refunds or disputes.
8. Your account and fair use
Keep sign-in details safe and only invite people you trust: anyone you invite can see and change your records, and owners can change settings and billing. Don't use Business Desk for anything unlawful, to send spam or unwanted messages, to store information you have no right to hold, or in a way that harms the service or other users. Very heavy use may be discussed with you under our fair-use limit. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, telling you why where we can.
9. Availability and liability
We work to keep Business Desk running and your records safe and backed up, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may need short breaks for maintenance. Business Desk helps you keep records; it isn't accounting, tax or legal advice, and you remain responsible for your own tax and accounts.
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.
10. Changes, ending and law
We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes at least 30 days in advance by email or in the app. We may end the service with at least 90 days' notice, giving you time to download your records. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
